Rules

Objective

  • The Jigsaw Killer remains at large 
  • Find clues to aid your investigation 
  • Discover all 6 locations and try to save the victims before time runs out
     

Jigsaw’s Workshop Items

  • Discover items by hitting enough of the required switch types 
  • Collected items aid in the appropriate trap modes
     

Mode/Trap Qualifying

  • Shoot lit white arrows to spell SAW 
  • Hit the right scoop to enter the Bathroom
  • Red arrows subtract a letter and activate a disc
     

Bonuses

  • Tied to unused items discovered in Jigsaw’s Workshop at the end of the ball
     

Stacking Rules

  • Trap Modes & Multiballs are stackable


Standard Skill Shot

  • Based on the 3-bank drop target 

Base Values:

  • Upper drop target: 2M
  • Middle drop target: 2M 
  • Lower drop target: 3M 
  • Hitting any skill shot increases the base value by +1M for the next ball’s skill shot
     

Super Skill Shots

  • Soft plunge  then hit one of the following sequences: 
  • X Marks the Spot: 4M 
  • Plunge → Inner Orbit → Left Ramp combo: 5M
  • Left Outer Orbit → Inner Orbit combo: 8M 

Secret Skill Shots

  • To reveal purple Secret Skill Shots, hold the left flipper for 2 seconds


Requirements: 

  • Shoot white arrows to spell S-A-W 
  • Hitting a red arrow: 
    • Causes you to lose a letter toward mode qualification 
    • Activates a disc
       

Red Arrow Rules:

  • 2 red arrows in a row → 2 discs activate 
  • 3 red arrows in a row → all 3 discs activate 
  • After attempting a trap mode, an additional red arrow is added 
  • Shooting a white arrow disarms 1 disc per shot 
  • Once SAW is spelled, hit the right scoop to enter the Bathroom and select a trap
     

Trap Mode Gameplay

  • Hit a certain number of color-coded shots to escape the trap and save the victim
  • All modes: 60-second timers 
  • Reverse Bear Trap: 120-second timer
     

Traps & Objectives

Drill Chair

  • Left Drill: Hit 6 lower pops
  • Right Drill: Hit 6 upper pops
  • Temporarily jam the drill for 2s by hitting blue arrows
     

Flammable Jelly

  • One of the 6 lit shots contains the combination
  • X Marks the Spot completes the mode
     

Quad Shotgun Hallway

  • Hit all 4 standup targets
  • Complete 15 spins at the spinner to navigate safely
     

Razorwire

  • Hit 16 upper pops
  • Hit X Marks the Spot to escape 
  • One-time Add-A-Ball lit at X Marks the Spot at mode start
     

Reverse Bear Trap

  • Spinner builds value: +145K per spin
  • Steps to complete: 
  • Hit Standups to lock in value
  • Hit any Orbit
  • Hit any Ramp
  • Hit any Orbit
  • Hit any Ramp
  • Hit X Marks the Spot
     

Zep’s Test

  • Hit any lit shot
  • Hit the same lit shot again to collect
  • Repeat for a total of 3 collected shots to complete the mode


 

Collecting Items

  • Discover and collect items in Jigsaw’s Workshop to aid in traps 
  • Each item is tied to a specific switch type 
  • Hit X number of that switch type to collect the item 
  • Unused items at the end of the ball are converted into bonus points

Item Effects During Modes

  • Key → Reverse Bear Trap: Shots worth 1.5× 
  • Handgun → Drill Chair: Adds 1–4 hits toward either Drill; Blue Arrows add +1 second to timer
  • Hacksaw → Razorwire: Upper Pops worth 2×
  • Candle → Flammable Jelly: Timer ticks 1.5× faster; Shots worth 2× for 30 seconds 
  • Tape Recorder → Add-A-Ball in any Multiball 
  • Bathtub → Light Outlane Ball Save 
  • Antidote → Zep’s Test: Spots next shot; Shots worth +1M 
  • Gears → Quad Shotgun Hallway: Spinner hits worth +500K


Rules: 

  • As you complete the 6 primary trap modes, you earn bonus points 
  • Bonuses are based on how quickly each mode is completed 

Mode Completion Times & Values

  • Cleared within 10 seconds: 15M 
  • Cleared within 20 seconds: 10M 
  • Cleared within 30 seconds: 6M 
  • Cleared within 40 seconds: 4.5M 
  • Cleared within 50 seconds: 3M
     

Special Case: Reverse Bear Trap

  • Reverse Bear Trap is a 120-second mode 
  • Bonus timing windows are twice as long due to extended mode duration


Requirements: 

  • Attempt a trap

Rules:

  • After attempting a trap, you have 20 seconds to collect a puzzle piece
  • Hit the flashing target to collect the puzzle piece
     

Mini Wizard Mode Qualification

  • Collect 2 or more puzzle pieces to unlock a mini wizard mode


Requirements: 

  • Spell D-I-E to begin Make Your Choice Hurry-Up 

Rules:

  • You have 25 seconds to hit X Marks the Spot 
  • This locks in your hurry-up value
  • Each lit shot is worth the locked-in value


Requirements:

  • Spell B-I-L-L-Y to increase your Bonus Multiplier 

Bonus Multiplier Values

  • First Completion: 2× Bonus 
  • Second Completion: 3× Bonus 
  • Third Completion: 4× Bonus


Requirements:

  • Hit a total of 5 lower drop targets to light the left scoop 
  • Shoot the lit scoop to collect a reward 
  • Each reward can only be collected once per game

Combo Rewards

  • Each combo shot collected awards 1 Surveillance Camera 
  • Each combo can only be awarded once per game 

Playfield Multiplier

  • Completing any combo activates +1× Playfield Multiplier for 30 seconds 
  • Multipliers are stackable 
  • Hitting another combo resets the 30-second timer

timed 75-second frenzy mode

Requirements:

  • Complete 3 negative (red) shots

Rules:

  • All shots: +250K
  • Mode begins with all 3 discs active. 
  • Each right ramp hit deactivates one disc 
  • After hitting the 3rd right ramp, the mode is completed
  • Upon Completion: Player receives 1 random item from Jigsaw’s Workshop and Mode Ready becomes qualified at the scoop


Requirements:

  • Hit the left and right standups of the right ramp to light the lock 
  • Shoot the right ramp to lock a ball 
  • After 3 balls are locked, Hacksaw Multiball begins

Rules:

  • Each pop bumper hit decreases jackpot value by 5K
  • Completing the drop bank increases jackpot value by +250K
  • Red shots collect the current jackpot value
  • Super Jackpot is qualified after completing each tier red shots
  • hit X marks the spot to collect Super Jackpot and relight Jackpots


Jackpot Value

2.25M + (drop target banks completed × 250K) + (pop bumpers hit * -5000)

Super Jackpot Value

2.25M + (drop target banks completed × 750K) + (pop bumpers hit * -5000)



Requirements:

  • Hit the middle standup (behind the Flammable Jelly puzzle piece) to light the lock 
  • Hit the left ramp to virtually lock a ball 
  • After 3 balls are locked, Jigsaw Multiball begins

Multiball Ball Count:

Jigsaw Multiball adds +1 extra ball for each trap mode completed before starting MB.

Max: 6-ball Multiball
Rules:

  • Blue Shots (Spiral Standups) increases jackpot value by +75k
  • Red Shots collect jackpot value

Requirements:

Mode Start

Lil' Billy randomly assigns one of the following tasks:


TASK 1: Flipper Trap

60-second mode

Rules:

  • Flipper buttons swap every 10 seconds
  • Base value of lit shots: 1M 
  • Each additional lit shot: +1M
  • After 60 seconds, mode ends and returns to standard gameplay

TASK 2: Skill Shot Frenzy

60-second mode

Rules:

  • Unlimited plunges 
  • Shoot the standard 3-drop target skill shot bank 
  • Base value: 2.5M
  • Each additional Skill Shot: +1.25M
  • After 60 seconds, the mode ends and returns to single-ball play

Requirements:

  • Obtain 2 or more puzzle pieces 
  • Collect 3 S-A-W letters
  • Shoot the Bathroom to begin
  • Puzzle pieces determine multiball count: 
    • 2 pieces → 2-ball multiball 
    • 3 pieces → 3-ball multiball 
    • 4 pieces → 4-ball multiball 
    • 5 pieces → 5-ball multiball 

Rules:

Red Shots(Builds Jackpot)

  • Add 1.5M × number of red shots made to the blue shot value
  • After hitting a lit red shot, that shot turns off until a different red shot is made 

Blue Shot (Collects Jackpot)

  • Collects an accumulated jackpot:
    2M base + (red shots made × 1.5M) 
  • After collecting the jackpot, value resets to 2M 
  • The mode ends when you return to single-ball play


Requirements:

  • Complete 4 traps
  • Collect 3 S-A-W letters
  • Shoot the Bathroom to begin


PHASE ONE

Disarm Zep

(3.5M per lit shot)

Rules:

  • Hit 10 standup targets.

PHASE TWO

Attack Zep

(1M per switch hit)

Rules:

  • Accumulate 50 switch hits.

PHASE THREE

Finish Off Zep

(6M per lit shot)

Rules:

  • Hit all 5 puzzle piece areas.


Overview

A Choose-Your-Own-Adventure style wizard mode.
Will you become Jigsaw’s apprentice and continue his legacy…
or break free and return for retribution in a final showdown?

Requirements:

  • Complete all 6 traps
  • Collect 3 S-A-W letters
  • Shoot the Bathroom to begin

  

PHASE ONE

Apprentice Path

(7.5M per lit shot)
Revisit each trap and clean up evidence.

Rules:

  • Collect 5 puzzle pieces from left → right.
  • A 20 second timer starts after each piece. 
  • If it expires, you revert one step.
  • After all 5 are collected, Hit the lit scoop → Phase Two
     

Survivor Path

(7.5M per lit shot)
Escape from the building.

Rules:

  • Hit standups left → right.
  • Alternate the X drop target to navigate.
  • Hit the lit scoop → Phase Two

PHASE TWO

Apprentice – Left Choice: Abduction

(16M per lit shot)
Assist in abducting the next game's subject. Disable the security cameras then restrain the subject.

Rules:

  • Hit left + mid + right standups
  • Hit both shackle standups
  • Then the right ramp
  • Complete shackle standups and right ramp within 20 seconds or you must restrain again the subject again.
  • Hit the lit scoop → Phase Three
     

Apprentice – Right Choice: Stage the Game

(8M per first shot type hit)
Assist in staging the series of games

Rules:

  • Collect 1 of each shot to fill Jigsaw’s Workshop
  • 45 second timer
  • Timer expiration resets all progress
  • Hit the lit scoop → Phase Three
     

Survivor – Left Choice: Clue

(16M per lit shot)

Gather evidence and begin tracking down Jigsaw

Rules:

  • Hit a lit puzzle piece to enter a location 
  • Hit it again to collect evidence
  • Collect 3 pieces within 60 seconds or progress resets
  • Hit the lit scoop → Phase Three
     

Survivor – Right Choice: Aid

(2M per switch)

You encounter another player ensnared by Jigsaw. Tend to their wounds quickly—time is slipping away. 

Rules:

  • Hit 50 switches within 60 seconds
  • Failing resets progress 
  • Too slow → lose consciousness
  • Hit the lit scoop → Phase Three
     

PHASE THREE

Apprentice: Let the Games Begin

(5M per lit shot)

Trap completions: 25M × number of phases completed

6-ball multiball with no ball save

Facilitate similar games as previously played in the modes.  Successfully witness all six traps through to completion and ascend into the rank of apprentice.

Rules:

  • Complete the traps in order

Order:

  1. Drill Chair 
  2. Razorwire 
  3. Flammable Jelly 
  4. Quad Shotgun Hallway 
  5. Zep’s Test 
  6. Reverse Bear Trap
     

Survivor: Final Showdown

(65M per item collected)
6-ball multiball with no ball save

Collect Jigsaw’s items, then use them to confront him and bring his legacy to an end in the final showdown. 

Rules:

  • Collect all 8 items:
  • 20 pops = Gear 
  • 10 standups = Candle 
  • 75 slings = Bathtub 
  • 9 in-lanes = Tape Recorder 
  • 50 spinners = Handgun
  • 5 ramps = Key
  • 5 orbits = Hacksaw 
  • 6 drops = Antidote
  • After collecting all 8 items, then shoot X Marks the Spot for the final blow
